Aishwarya Rai looking forward to ‘Pink Panther 2′
The lovely Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, who recently finished Sarkar Raj with her renowned father-in-law Amitabh Bachchan and spouse Abhishek Bachchan , is currently looking ahead to her Hollywood release Pink Panther 2 .
Ash is quoted as saying in a news report that what was pleasant about her role in the film was that it was not culture-precise.
“What makes my role unique is that they haven’t specified my nationality. Nor have I been made to fake any pronunciation. In reality, every other character is culture-specific, except mine. That was actually nice. We all have made our best. And when we begun shooting in Paris, Abhishek was with me, so it was very nice,” Ash stated.
Ash also admired Hollywood actor Steve Martin stating, “He’s incredible, an institution. He has amazing comic timing and such liveliness. It’s unbelievable how hard he works at his age on the physical comedy. Just similar to Pa! Pink Panther 2 is entirely Steve Martin’s film.”
Though, Ash declined to confess that ‘Pink Panther 2’ being an international task was extra special to her.
“I’m not one to judge against assignments. For me Chokher Bali in Kolkata was as valuable as ‘Pink Panther 2’ in Boston. Other than, yes, Gurinder Chadha ’s Bride and Prejudice and her husband’s Mistress Of Spices had a lot of Indians in the crew, so I felt at home.”
And to set the record directly, Ash stated, “The Last Legion with Sir Ben Kingsley was my first complete international project. It was such an extraordinary experience.”
‘The Pink Panther Deux’ is a follow-up to the 2006 film, ‘The Pink Panther’. The movie was at first named ‘The Pink Panther 2’, later renamed The Next Pink Panther and now the official title is ‘The Pink Panther Deux’.
Ash signed for the female lead as criminal specialist, Sophie Solandres.
