Bipasha Basu is living out of her suitcase and is not regretful about it in any way.
She has got to travel around Rome, spend time in Miami and just passed up a possibility to go on a world tour along with the Bachchans. She says regarding her reported dissimilarities with Bachchans, her Italian sojourn, and obviously, John Abraham.
‘The Bachchans and I’
I don’t realize why there was a controversy concerning me and the Bachchan tour. I was in Capri enjoying my shooting and my manager did not wish to trouble me with all the news that was hanging around in relation to the Bachchans being annoyed with me. It just became more intense into a controversy, like the whole lot else in our industry. Let me clear the air. I am not a part of the world tour with the Bachchans, although there is nothing in the wrong with that. I have immense admiration for the Bachchan family. I believe it is going to be a great show, but sorry to say, I am not a part of it.
‘My Italian connect’
I am a slight overworked at present. I was in Italy some days back, and it was great being there. I was shooting for Bachna Ae Haseeno, and fortunately my director, Siddharth Anand, is not a slave driver. So, after we had ended shooting, we got some time to see Rome and all the other places we shot at. However, I also had to get my root canal done in Italy. And so, I have been calling myself Miss Italian Root Canal since I had to deal with an Italian dentist who barely knew how to speak English! For the first time in my entire life, I can sense the workload. I have hardly been sleeping; it is some endorsement and then shooting and then catching a flight.
‘John & gay?’
I also spent some time with John in Miami, where he is shooting for Karan Johar’s Dostana along with Abhishek Bachchan and Priyanka Chopra. John and me used to be out on the beach, walking around and eating out all the three days that I was there. I get along fine with Abhishek and Priyanka, who is a very charming girl. Therefore, it was one big squad of friends. And, there’s no truth to the rumours that John is playing a gay character in Dostana. John and gay is just not happening!
