Bollywood movie Kismat Konnection : Review

Onscreen konnection between Shahid Kapur and Vidya Balan has play a good role to save this film from a doomed kismat.

Aziz Mirza’s film Kismat Konnection is enjoyable in parts but does not create a complete effect as movie has several dragging disconnections in between parts.

Shahid Kapur is playing a struggling architect whose own life is full of problems due to his phooti kismat.

The poor Shahid has to brave a barrage of misfortunes in doing even as mundane a thing as using an ATM card or rushing to office in his car.

During such misfortunes, he meets a hamming crystal ball reader ( Juhi Chawla ) that told him a lucky charm is about to enter his life.

Then Vidya Balan enters his life. She is a goodie-goodie gorgeous girl who makes all the things right for him. Then he feels he has found his lucky charm. He loves her, but then, he’s also ambitious.

Then begins divide between ambition and love that has create romantic stories both on paper and celluloid. Then hero follows his ambition and manipulates love with a sweet lie. And when the lie is disclosed, there’s sorrow and late realization that success is where love is, and that is kismat.

‘Kismat Konnection’ starts simply with funnily describing the blows of fate the hero has to survive in daily life. All the things has been changed when Juhi Chawla enters the scene. Film almost comes to a grinding halt when the main plot is overshadow, and is the bonding between Shahid and Vidya. After fighting and friendship, love is created between them.

In the end of the movie Shahid gives a speech on global warming and show selfishness to convince the board of directors for the profit of business corporations. For the happy ending, the final twist of fate plays out when Boman Irani sets things right for hero.

Kismat Konnection’s humour and chemistry between Shahid and Vidya have make the movie watchable.

Both the actors have done good job in parts but not so with each other. Shahid and Vidya have done very well according to theit part.

Om Puri has nothing to do but he done well in his role. He has played the character of a business tycoon and a henpecked husband. Juhi Chawla is simple.

There are no so many songs in the film, and the cinematography is pretty average.

Aziz Mirza can do better on this story idea but he can not say what he wants to say. Therefore viewers feel diskonnected.
