It would have been really obscene if Akshay Kumar had completed stripped down his jeans during parading on the ramp for the denim brand Levis in Lakme Fashion Week. Akshay Kumar’s gesture asking wife Twinkle Khanna to unzip his jeans during the show has led to a police complaint against him for alleged obscenity.

It was just a fun filled act from Akki which surprised many among the audience.

A social activist named Anil Nair has filed a complaint alleging that what Akshay did on the ramp was completely obscene in full public view.

Music maestro A. R. Rahman created history by becoming the first Indian to bag two Oscars for his work in British filmmaker Danny Boyle’s much acclaimed “Slumdog Millionaire”.

Rahman got his first oscar on the night of the 81st Academy Awards here for the `Best Original Score` and `Best Original Song` categories for the Mumbai based rags-to-riches drama.

He shared the second Oscar for best original song for the film’s theme number “Jai Ho” with noted Indian lyricist Gulzar.

SRK is following Aamir’s method in promoting his latest flick Billu Barber. As per latest buzz SRK has invited over 400 barbers to be part of the premiere of his forthcoming film. This turns amidst the rumors that Hairdressers Association are stalking SRK and other related people to change the barber word from the flick’s title.

Priyadarshan, director of the flick indicates, “Instead of inviting celebs over for the premiere of Billu Barber, Shah Rukh has taken the decision to invite 400 barbers and their families to the premiere. He plans out to welcome barbers for the premiere on February 12, as the film revolves around Irrfan Khan, who plays a barber. Things are just getting structured for the premiere and the office is also in discussion with the barbers’ association to get all things sorted for the big day.”

On the other hand Uday Takke, president of Hair Dresser association reveals, we want Billu Barber to be known as Billu Hairdresser as barber is a derogatory and insulting word. We prefer hairdressing as a profession as it is an art. Also there are several women hairstylists if Billu Barber turns out to be a hit, women hairdressers will be known as barbers as well.”

History is created by the Indian Music maestro A R Rahman by becoming the first Indian to win the Golden Globe Award. The Award was for the Best Original Music Score for the film “Slumdog Millionaire”. The film also bagged the Best Screenplay, Best Director, and Best Motion Picture Awards.

At the glittering ceremony held in Los Angeles, Rahman got the Golden Globe Award for his song ‘Jai Ho’ from the movie “Slumdog Millionaire” which is written by lyricist ‘Gulzar’. Miss Russia Ksenya Sukhinova is crowned the 58th Miss World alson at the 2008 Miss world pageant held in Sandton Convention Centre in Johannesburg, South Africa. The first and second runner up are Miss India Parvathay Omanakuttan, Miss Trinidad and Tobago Gabriel Walcott respectively.

Sukhinova also had won the contest’s top model award and was third in the swimsuit competition. Second runner up was Miss Trinidad and Tobago, Gabrielle Walcott. First runner up was Miss India, Parvathy Omankuttan.
