Check out this Romeo

You know the blue-eyed cutie Jugal Hansraj in Masoom and Mohabbatein. And his acting career didn’t really picked up, but he was lucky in some ways. With Mohabbatein he made a good friend, top filmmaker Aditya Chopra, who offered Jugal a chance to direct an animation film- Roadside Romeo. Now, the actor is ready with his directorial debut, Roadside Romeo, which is releasing on October 24.

Here is an exclusive interview with Jugal………….

Ques: What made you take up direction?

Jugal: It wasn’t planned at all. Adi [Aditya Chopra] is an old friend. He has always fancied animation films, so he wanted to produce the same for the Indian audience. I’m crazy about animation films too. I have watched all kinds of animation movies from Pixar and Dreamworks. I especially love Finding Nemo, Madagascar, Ice Age and my all-time favourite, Jungle Book. I used to read books on the making of animation films out of curiousity.

So Adi told me to give it a shot. I started working on it and gave him various ideas. After six months, when the script was ready, I passed it on to Adi. Since I had written it, Adi suggested that I direct it because I knew the story inside out. I had never thought about direction until Adi put it into my head.

Aish : Not the only but one of the initiators. Actually, way back when Abhishek Bachchan and I were just co-stars, I kept telling him that we should be a part of a troupe and go on a world tour. And he would always say it’s not the right time. But I never thought my wish would be fulfilled in such a grand way and that we will be part of the team as man and wife.

What sexy means to Bipasha Basu : Interview

bipasha basu
Glamorous Bipasha Basu says confidence, poise and intelligence are a must to look sexy.
“For me, being sexy is an amalgamation of many factors - definitely a good physique and a perfect-10 for health. A good face helps. But confidence, poise and intelligence are musts. Just a body won’t do,” Bipasha told in an interview.

The actress, who was selected Asia’s sexiest woman last year by the Eastern Eye newspaper in Britain, says she enjoys her “sexy” image.

“I’m sure any man or woman would be flattered being called the sexiest. I don’t see why I’ve to justify myself for being happy about being called sexy. I feel elated about it. You can’t take it away,” she said.

Excerpts from the interview:

How do you define sexy?
It’s defined differently from person to person. Those who know me know I’m a very down-to-earth girl with no pretensions to being a diva. For me, being sexy is an amalgamation of many factors - definitely a good physique and a perfect 10 for health. A good face helps. But confidence, poise and intelligence are musts. Just a body won’t do.

Ques : So, you are coming down to shoot in Kolkata…
Farhan : Yes, I will be shooting early next year. But, I need to make a few more trips to the city before that. Voice from the Sky is a period film that’s set in the Kolkata of 1905. It’s a very simple heart-warming story of a boy who is looking for his mother. It’s a film about
a child and the invention of the telephone.

Ques : Why did you opt for Akshaye Khanna, when your first choice was Saif Ali Khan?
Farhan :There were certain issues between Saif and me that we couldn’t work out. So, we thought it best to shake hands and move on. I then did some soul searching. Akshaye (Khanna) would be good for me and the film.

‘I have learnt to look past the link-ups’:Tanushree Datta

In an exclusive interview, Tanushree Datta told about her future projects, and about her career….

Q: You had earlier said that you seldom choose projects with three-four female leads. Why give the nod to Saas Bahu Aur Sensex?
Tanushree Datta: Though my first film was a multi-starrer, I prefer doing solo leads. This film got my approval because it is a character based venture and each actor has different roles to play.

Q: What’s your role like?
Tanushree Datta: I play this girl who moves in from a different city to Mumbai. Kirron Kher is my onscreen mother. There are different aspects to the movie.

Q: And what attracted you the most?
Tanushree Datta: The script, of course. I have been approached for romantic movies earlier but this film doesn’t revolve around me or for that matter around any one else. Interestingly, this venture, which isn’t a run-of-the mill project, gave me the opportunity to play a character.

With the best banners and the best men in the business (Khans, Kumar and Kapoors) vouching for her, a hottie like RK for a boyfriend, and admirers galore — Deepika Padukone wins the coveted title hands down. In an exclusive interview in New York, Deepika spoke about her unrevealed emotions of love, envy and pride!

You are a badminton champ. Ever thought of doing your country proud at the Olympics ?

I doubt people are aware, but I quit playing national level badminton in 2002. If I had continued till 2008, I could be representing India at the Olympics right now. Life had other plans for me, and I had other plans for myself.

So now you’d choose the Oscars over the Olympics?

To me they are the same. I always wanted to be part of the entertainment industry, and I have just started out. Olympics are passé for now. And the Oscars are far-fetched. Though I want to contribute to Indian sports in every way I can.

I’m not a diva: Hot Bollywood Actress Bipasha

Here is an exclusive interview with hot actress Bipasha Basu.

Q : With overwhelming reactions for your recent performance, do you see yourself in a position of power?
Bipasha : It’s great to be accepted in a new manner. People have loved my inputs in terms of styling and performance. I’m comfortable in whatever position I’m in today. I use my position to get heard when I’m raising some concerns regarding my films. But, I’m not a diva. A diva is a person who is in a position of power and is difficult. I’m not a difficult person.

Q : In real life, are you as prone to tantrums as your screen avatar?
Bipasha : My screen character was so hurt that she became cold and tough. Her anger wasn’t directed at the right area. I’m too happy a person to throw tantrums. But being a thorough professional, I’m very firm and don’t tolerate slackness at work.
