Her closeness to Rahul Mahajan on reality TV show “Bigg Boss” had reportedly upset her ex-beau Abu Salem, but actress Monica Bedi is unfazed. She says his comments and reactions don`t make any difference to her.

“Monica Bedi is out of her past. Abu`s (Salem) reactions to anything won`t affect me and they are never going to come in the way of my career,” Monica told.

“My past is my past. I will never go back to it. I respect Abu and the relationship we shared, but I have left it behind. It`s been a long time now. For me it is all over and I`m ready to start life afresh,” she said.

The viewers had a ball of a time as the love triangle involving Rahul Mahajan, Monica Bedi and Payal Rohatgi unfolded a different tale every single day. Now that Monica has been finally voted out of the show, she gets candid about her relationship with Rahul and her forthcoming projects in a rendezvous with BT.

‘Satta kings proved to be my undoing’

A slightly exasperated Monica rues the fact that she lost “even after coming so close to winning.” In the same breath, she adds, “There are a lot of people who have told me that satta kings proved to be my undoing because they were heavily voting for their own candidates. Anyways, I am glad that I am no longer a part of this betting scenario though I enjoyed my stint on the show.”

‘Rahul’s mad, but not bad’

There’s no denying that Monica had quite a few reasons to enjoy the show — the undivided attention of an ardent admirer like Rahul Mahajan for starters. Rag her about this and Monica says, “Rahul’s mad, but not bad. I know that his feelings are genuine. He really cares for me and wants marriage or a lifelong relationship. It takes lots of guts to voice your feelings on national television and I admire him for this.”
