Futuristic sci-fi flick, Love Story 2050 looks to establish the standards of special effects in the country, with a big budget of Rs.500 million.

Mumbai looks like Shanghai by the robot; teddy bears and an energy-blasting fight scene are some of the visual effects in this movie.

The film by director Harry Bajewa will be released on July 4.

Love Story 2050, a debut movie of Harman Baweja opposite Priyanka Chopra, is focus on special effects.

India is growing as the outsourcing place for animation and special effects jobs of Hollywood studios.

Hindi filmmakers have no dare to invest huge money on special effects and prefer to give most of the film’s budget for stars. Therefore Hindi movies do not fulfill the international standards due to lack of effects and graphics.

Their lips stick to each other for a few seconds and their hands were entwined but before the bodies could meet in a frenzy of passion, director Dibakar, called for a cut. It was how Neetu Chandra and abhay deol shared their first on screen kiss.

After her hottie character in Garam Masala, Neetu Chandra is all set to do yet again with her forthcoming flick. Though her last release, One Two Three, bombed at the box-office, the actress is banking on three more films lined up in her kitty set for a 2008 release. And the high will surely be her steamy lip-lock session with co-star Abhay Deol in Oye Lucky, Lucky Oye.

On the question about her first on-screen kiss, Neetu candidly declared, “I have no notions whatsoever, about the so called `right and wrong`. As an actress, I believe in doing whatever my character demands.”

The movie, ‘Love Story 2050′ introduces Harman Baweja , the son of filmmaker Harry Baweja, who is the film’s director. Priyanka Chopra is the film’s leading lady. Boman Irani and two kids Aman and Rushita are cast in supporting roles.

Dr. Yatinder Khanna is a scientist. He has developed a time machine that can transport a person into another era and period.

Neetu Chandra has done what the most of leading actresses are doing today—kissing their leading man.

She has shared her first on-screen lip lock with Abhay Deol for their upcoming flick Oye Lucky! Lucky Oye! (OLLO) after being in the industry for three years.

“Neetu has a kissing scene in OLLO. She has always believed in doing whatever is best for the film. She didn’t think twice about sharing screen presence with two other girls even as the stakes were high for Garam Masala,” said a source.

“Later she grabbed the opportunity when Madhur Bhandarkar finalised her for Traffic Signal. It was a big departure for her to get into a non-glam role after playing an airhostess in her debut film. When everyone was still contemplating about her next move, she took the risk of being one of the four heroines in One Two Three. This was why when she was told that OLLO would require her to kiss Abhay, she was game for it. She doesn’t believe in creating any unnecessary fuss!”

There have also been murmurs about Abhay and Neetu being an item. Wouldn’t that, too, have aided her in making her decision?

Funny man Arshad Warsi is excited about his forthcoming film “Short Cut”.He says he plays one of the worst characters ever.
“I’ve never played a more despicable character in my life. I never thought I’d play someone so low down. When I watched myself I thought … how could anyone be so cheap?” he told .Now, he is shooting for “Gol Maal Returns” in Goa.

Arshad has played new kind of acting in the film by Neera Vora. “See I play a bad actor. So when the camera is on I do some terrible acting. When my character is off-sets he’s a bad actor trying to behave like a normal decent guy, which he is not. I just hope audiences get the point and don’t accuse me of hamming.”

The actor has been travelling a lot. “I was in Bangkok for almost two months, came back to Mumbai for two days and left for Mauritius. Now I’m in Goa and then I go to London for a long schedule. I’m seriously thinking of getting NRI status.”

The humiliation of Goa tourism, horrific rape and murder of 15-year-old British tourist Scarlett Keeling, has inspired Prabhakar Shukla to make a film based on the incident. The director says he has already approached Katrina Kaif to play the leading character in his film titled Rave Party. Incidentally, Katrina was brought up in London. She has a British mother and a Kashmiri father.

“I have approached Katrina to play the role of Scarlett. I hope she agrees to it,” Prabhakar says. “She suits the character so well. Right now, I have no one else in mind to cast as Scarlett. She is the perfect choice.”

The film is probably start in July this year. “Rave Party is based on what happened to Scarlett. Since the scene of the crime was Goa, I want to shoot it there and give it an authentic feel,” Prabhakar says. “My film will see a Christian lady falling into the drug trap in Goa and getting killed.”

He continues, “I’m going to make this film really big. I want to show the people what is happening in Goa—how there is a drug racket going on in the vacation spot and how people are slowly getting addicted and ruining their lives.”

Filmmaker Boney Kapoor’s “Milenge Milenge” is getting ready for release.It takes almost two years to release. Ironically, the film stars former lovers Kareena Kapoor and Shahid Kapur.
And since their first post-split film “Jab We Met” was well at the box office, Boney may want to cash in on “Milenge Milenge” as the last film to feature the stars.

The producer has been chasing his dream pair for almost six months, but now the wait is over. After months of dillydallying, Shahid and Kareena are dubbing for the film.

Says director Satish Kaushik: “Shahid, who is my neighbour, has already started dubbing for the film. Kareena will dub as soon as she returns from abroad.”

“Milenge Milenge” is the Hindi version of Peter Chelsom’s “Serendipity”.
