Kareena Kapoor and Shahid Kapur’s ‘Milenge Milenge’ readying for release
Filmmaker Boney Kapoor’s “Milenge Milenge” is getting ready for release.It takes almost two years to release. Ironically, the film stars former lovers Kareena Kapoor and Shahid Kapur.
And since their first post-split film “Jab We Met” was well at the box office, Boney may want to cash in on “Milenge Milenge” as the last film to feature the stars.
The producer has been chasing his dream pair for almost six months, but now the wait is over. After months of dillydallying, Shahid and Kareena are dubbing for the film.
Says director Satish Kaushik: “Shahid, who is my neighbour, has already started dubbing for the film. Kareena will dub as soon as she returns from abroad.”
“Milenge Milenge” is the Hindi version of Peter Chelsom’s “Serendipity”.
Remember Kate Beckinsale and John Cusack in “Serendipity” meeting at Bloomingdale’s over Christmas shopping, getting attracted to each other though they are attached elsewhere? They make a promise to meet if they are destined to.
Yes, the film does have elements of ‘Serendipity’,” said Kaushik.
The title suggests a touch of afterlife. “No, no! ‘Milenge Milenge’ has got nothing to do with reincarnation. One film on that theme (’Karzzz’) is more than enough,” said Kaushik.
