No one’s helping me: Salman
The first show of the season and I’m sitting with Salman Khan, looking smart as ever. These are the few occasions, which make me feel exhilarated for the work I do. In the middle of the sets of his new TV show, Dus Ka Dum, Salman with a beautiful smile says, ‘I am happy that I am doing this show.’
At last, I will be communicating with people directly. Now, they’ll know the real Salman Khan. He continues blushing, “They ask me the strange questions. Like one person asked me, ‘Aap itni sari ladkiyan kaise patate ho?’ I replied, ‘Ladkiyan mujhe patati hai’.”
Ask him on being regarded as the most expensive star on TV till now and he says, “That’s got to do with the type of fan followers I have. It’s not related to my star status. People still like me even after all that has been published against me. In spite of being described as arrogant and an irresponsible person, my fans have not lost trust in me. That’s the reason I am still surviving. I am a responsible citizen of this nation.’
He further says, “I don’t get affected by all these now. He trusts in the quote ‘What goes around comes around. He also believes in —his foundation Being Human, which finances surgeries for the need people. “I’m planning to do an exhibition of my paintings, introducing my own clothesline and also managing a few concerts to finance the cause. I need to do all this because no one is helping me. I am amazed that none of my friends are interested in the cause. I am not going to ask them ever.’
He confirms,’ I am working to help people as much as I can. I have been meeting all the expenses and I will do so.’
