Call Ameesha patel simply Ameesha now. We saw her name appear as ‘Ameesha’ in the credit titles of her latest film, Thoda Pyaar Thoda Magic and decided to check.

Since Ameesha didn’t take calls , on contacted to her director, Kunal Kohli, he said, “Ameesha told us how she wanted her name to appear, and we did it as she wanted. She didn’t want her surname. I didn’t ask her why. I thought there must be a numerological reason for it.”

On contacted to her mother, Asha Patel, who snapped, “If you have seen that she has dropped her family name in the titles, why are you asking me? Please leave me alone.”

Ameesha Patel is looking quite confident about changing her image as a comedy star in reel life. She is also a comedy girl in her real life.

This cute actress wants to perform better this year as she has signed two comedy movie - Chatur Singh Do Star and Do Lucky. Ameesha said,” I love to play comic role because I have a comic side .It is a better way to start enjoying the life and career such kind of films which I’m doing.”

In Chatur Singh Do Star, with Sanjay Dutt and in Do Lucky with Govinda, Ameesha will tickling the audience’s funny bone. Both Sanjay Dutt and Govinda are well known for their best comedy. So we have to wait and watch, when Ameesha will be able to match her comic timing with them.

Although nothing is official as yet, it seems Ameesha Patel and her Delhi-based-businessman boyfriend Kanav Puri are going places.

They first made their public appearance during the Fashion Week in Delhi. They were spotted together on many occasions. We just heard that the duo also went on a foreign jaunt together to London a couple of weeks ago.
