“I have told Saif that I will be giving him points while working with him for Karan’s film and only after the schedule is over will I decide whether he has turn out to be my favorite co-star or not. I love the story as its put against a different background. My favorite co-star is Akshay Kumar as there is a great comfort level while working with him. Lolo and I are also very close to Akshay`s wife Twinkle who is designing Saif`s and my flat in Bandra”, a news daily indicated Kareena as saying.

Five years into Bollywood, Britain-born actress Katrina Kaif is proud that those who have doubts in her capability have proved all of them incorrect. She is one of the few actresses who can brag of providing six hits back to back. “When I started, people were not only writing me off for my strong British accent, there were various others who tried to stop her making it big,” Katrina told IANS in an interview here.

“They didn’t do so in an aggressive or excessive manner, but they used to say things like ‘I don’t know…’ and ‘I’m not sure…’ that would recommend a not-so-positive approach towards me. But I proved myself in the end.

“I always try and work hard to go beyond expectations. I follow this ideology in a positive way,” she explained.

Sanjay Dutt’s wife Manyata won many a heart at the Hindustan Times Leadership Summit Saturday as she recalled her travails when the Bollywood extremely popular actor Sanjay Dutt aka Munnabhai was in prison. Dutt was convicted for illegal arms possession in the run-up to the 1993 serial bombings in Mumbai was sent to the high-security Arthur Road jail in that metropolis last year, the last of the four occasions he was jailed.

Bollywood Actress Priyanka Chopra seems to be getting bolder day by day. Whether it be her look in her last films, or the characters she is opting for, she seems to be eyeing the numero uno crown. She has made that pretty clear through her no-nonsense interviews in the recent past. She made a point on gay rights too when she told us in a recent chat that they have equal rights to live a dignified life. And now, the actress gives out yet another statement - that she has no qualms playing a lesbian character if offered. After all, according to Piggy Chops sexual preference is a matter of personal choice.

“Why not, I would definitely play a lesbian role, provided the film has a good script and the role demands so,” says Chopra when asked if she’d accept such a role now that both her last films – ‘Fashion’ and ‘Dostana’ - have a gay factor in them.

Shah Rukh Khan the current baadshah of Bollywood and the new King Akshay Kumar are all set to come together in their first movie together in 2009.

SRK and Akki got to meet recently at Sabina Khan’s birthday bash, the duo kept talking for more than an hour.

A source reveals, “The two actors haven’t come face-to-face in a long time, so they haven’t had a chance to sort things out. But that changed at the party. They talked at length and realised that some mischief makers were at work. It was mostly SRK who was doing the talking and Akki listening. The discussion was also of misunderstandings being deliberately created between both. Then they discussed the possibility of doing a film together. SRK invited Khiladi Kumar for an evening of games at his home, Mannat. An invitation to the Khan residence is a sign of acceptance in his close group.”

Mughda Godse is feeling quite anxious, and quite understandably too.

The sexy model-turned-actress, who makes her debut in Madhur Bhandarkar’s “Fashion”, is having some serious bouts of anxiety with the release date of her movie nearing.

As whacky as it may sound, apparently the lady chopped off her hair recently and that too in the middle of the night.

When contacted, this is what Mughda had to say: “Well yeah, it’s true I cut off my fringes. I am getting very nervous with the film release coming up ahead. Hopefully people will appreciate my work. I am really looking forward to it as well.”

The film’s looking good, at least if the promos are any indication. So what we can tell Mughda is to take it easy and keep calm!

Veteran actor Amitabh Bachchan says he might sign a French project, if he is lucky. He will be with wife Java in this project.

The superstar has attended several meetings in France and says that from the looks of it “there may be consent on the French project”. It will be produced and directed by the makers of Oscar winning “March of the Penguin”.

“The film will be in English. It’ll be set in India and France. Perhaps work starts end of next year. That is all that one can talk of right now,” Amitabh wrote on his blog.
