Nandita Das to get the French Order of Arts and Literature
Nandita Das will be awarded for her contribution to cinema by the prestigious Ordre Des Arts Et Des Lettres at Paris.
She has also been given an open choice to choose any French personality for felicitation.
Nandita is on the cloud nine.She told that she was taken by surprise on receiving the letter last week and further added that, to her, Paris is very similar to Kolkata in terms of both being the cultural nerve-centres of their respective countries.
Nandita is second Bollywood star after Shah Rukh Khan who has been honoured with this award this year. It was at the beginning of the year that Shah Rukh Khan was conferred with the award.
