Tarun Mansukhani, the director of upcoming film ‘Dostana’ says that John and Abhishek play best friends and not gay couple in `Dostana`.

“They don`t behave as gay. They behave as normal friends,” says Tarun, who turns director for the first time after assisting Karan Johar in `Kal Ho Na Ho`.

“In fact, gays never behave in any particular way. Their behaviour is not different from all of us. Its our own perception about gays that makes us think that they behave in a particular way,” he clarifies, while adding that he has not stereotyped the gay community in `Dostana`.

“John and Abhishek lie that they are a gay couple, and so all other characters presumes them to be gay, which brings in the fun quotient to the film,” he says.

When asked about why he chose gay theme in the film, he says, “Bollywood has made films on a variety of subjects like child abuse, drug abuse, extra martial affairs, sexual exploitation, etc. But no films have been made on gay sexuality till now. So I added it to the film. And these days, everyone specially the younger generation jokes about gay.

Recently Priyanka Chopra was shooting in Miami for Karan Johar’s romantic comedy Dostana.

She said that she has worked with Abhishek and John before, but never like this.

Dostana is a beachside sporty film, and she is very much like a water babe. The director Tarun Mansukhani has written a really urbane tongue-in-cheek comedy.

Changing her mind about wearing a bikini, she said, “Karan Johar didn’t ask me for a bikini. This is the requirement of this beach movie. So it’s only natural thing to wear beach-wear”.

Priyanka Chopra can’t stop dreaming about the new love in her life.

She said, “No, he isn’t Harman. It’s Boo, a pet robot teedy-bear who was in Love Story 2050. He’s the cutest creature on earth so I want to take him home.”

Priyanka says, “This film filled with gadgets and electronic toys. But Boo is special, because he’s mine. Love Story 2050 is my second hi-tech film after Krissh, and third will be Drona“.
