Tailor-made script for Ranbir
Renowned Bollywood director Prakash Jha went for five days to Nafplion, Greece, to wind up the scripting of his political parable Rajneeti. He urges the script to support his lead actor Ranbir Kapoor’s character thoroughly.
“It will give Ranbir an opportunity to do what his other films may not. It’s a very challenging role and since he features a political figure I’ve to ensure that the scripting supports him fully,” said Jha.
“I earlier planned to make a quickie before beginning Rajneeti,” he added. Jha’s movie will blend elements from Rajiv Gandhi’s life with the Mahabharata. With the exception of one day’s shooting in the US, Jha plans to shoot Rajneeti in Bhopal.
The film will feature Ranbir as a student from an Indian political dynasty studying in the US who’s come back to take over the political empire in Delhi after a crisis in the family.
“Ranbir will have two other co-stars, an Indian and an American actress. We have almost selected both the ladies.
